Evening Receptionnist
Part-time  4:30pm - 8:00pm and holidays

Responsibilities:
- Answers, screens and transfers telephone calls to appropriate personnel in a courteous, professional manner.Takes accurate messages.
- Uses paging and intercom system appropriately.
- Greets and directs visitors in a friendly manner.  Instructs visitors in use of the Visitor's Register.
- Receives flowers, gifts, etc. for patients and staff and directs them accordingly.
- Consistently demonstrates responsibility and dependability.
- Consistently works cooperatively and maintains effective communication with facility administration, nursing personnel, all facility departments and consultants.
- Comes to work clean and neat and consistently presents a professional appearance. 

 Prerequisites:
- At least sixteen years of age, with typing skills and knowledge of basic office procedures.
- Professional, pleasant telephone/communication skills.
- Possess the ability to deal with staff, visitors, and residents in a professional, compassionate manner.

  

Diet Aide
Casual hours - 12-15hrs/week; Sunday - Saturday - days, evenings, weekends and holidays

Responsibilities:
- Sets up trays and serves in dining room as required. Busses trays in dining room as required.
- Assists in preparing, portioning, covering and dating of food.
- Uses and cleans food service equipment and work areas and follows all cleaning schedules as directed.
- Serves all patient's meals according to the written instructions.
- Demonstrates proper food handling.
- Sorts and places dishes into dish machine and follows proper operating procedures.
- Identifies problems in ware washing process and discusses with Food Service Director.
- Handles and transports food trucks to the respective floors and wings. Picks up and returns food trucks to the kitchen after completion of meal service.
- Maintains records of meal census, menus, diet cards, diet roster and diets served.
- Prepares and provides house and supplemental nourish feedings.  Appropriately labels and delivers nourishments to respective units.
- Observes infection control procedures related to the dietary department.  Attends in-service training programs for food service.

Prerequisites:
- Must be sixteen years of age.

 

Housekeeper
Full-time - 40hrs/week; Some weekends required

Responsibilities:
- Performs daily cleaning and supplying of patient rooms, nursing stations, lounges, bathrooms, offices and any other assigned areas in accordance with standard housekeeping procedures.
- Properly uses cleaning devices, such as dry/wet mops, small wringers, dusters, and other necessary tools, chemicals and supplies.
- Perform cleaning functions in assigned areas following established schedules and proper cleaning procedures.
- Keeps utility carts and storage area and janitors closets in good order and arranges supplies.
- Assists in the cleaning of emergency spills that are observed and upon request.
- Observes and reports the need for repairs to equipment, furniture, buillding, and fixtures on maintenance report orders (MRO).
- Thoroughly cleans "room of the day" which includes disinfecting of walls, mattress springs and frame, bathroom fixtures, mirrors, pictures, closets, wheelchairs, gerichairs, phones, lamps, personal items, etc.  Clean windows, vents and vacuum drapes.
- Identifies safety hazards and takes corrective action.
- Assists in the proper care and use of housekeeping equipment.
- Attends in-service training programs for Housekeeping employees.
- Follows facility safety program.

Prerequisites:
- At least a sixth grade education level
- No previous experience is required
- Must be at least age sixteen (16)
